มุมสงบ ที่แม่แจ่ม ( Mae Chaem )

Mae Chaem.....
Up until recently one of the remotest spots in northern Thailand, the small town of Mae Chaem is now proud possessor of no less than three sealed roads: the 100 km windy mountain route 1263 to Khun Yuam, the relatively straight and flat 45 km route 1088 linking up with highway 108 near Ob Luang National Park and the scenic route 1192 passing along the foot of Doi Inthanon to Chom Thong. Mae Chaem is now connected to the outside world and tourists are beginning to trickle through.

The small town itself, quite busy as the market, and now transport, centre for the numerous surrounding villages, is inhabited by mostly northern Thais though the surrounding villages include, Karen, Lawa and Hmong settlements. There is a busy little market, a couple of interesting Lanna style wats and some handicrafts in the form of woven north Thai style sarongs for which the village is famous.

It's certainly a good spot to break up long journeys and though at present there are few opportunities for organised trips into the surrounding area this may soon change. Though for organised trips and treks during high season you could try calling Yai in neighbouring Mae Na Chon village.

The views are stupendous with the north western slopes of Inthanon overlooking Mae Chaem and the scenic river of the same name passing through the valley. If you do have your own transport then it might be a good place to base yourself for exploring nearby Inthanon whilst avoiding the more touristy area around the Park itself.

แม่แจ่มเป็นอำเภอเล็กๆของจังหวัดเชียงใหม่  อยู่ท่ามกลางโอบล้อมของขุนเขาห่างจากอุทยานแห่งชาติอินทนนท์ 22 กิโลเมตร  เมืองนี้จึงเป็นเมืองในหุบเขาที่มีอากาศเย็นสบายเมืองหนึ่ง

 Mae Jam is a small town surrounded by mountains locating in Chiang Mai only 22 kilometers away from Intanon National Park. It is one of the towns that has nice weather throughout the year.

เราจะไปแม่แจ่มช่วงไหนดี  บางคนบอกว่าไปหน้าหนาวซิ จะได้อากาศหนาวเย็น ได้ถ่ายทะเลหมอกท่ามกลางขุนเขา บางคนบอกว่าไปหน้าฝนช่วงเดือน กันยายน-ตุลาคมซิ จะได้ชมนาขั้นบันใดที่เขียวขจี  อันเป็นจุดเด่นอย่างหนึ่งของเมืองนี้ 

When should we visit Mae Jam? Some people suggest winter because of the cool weather and a chance to see the sea of fog. Some people suggest rainy season to see the greenery of the tiered rice fields, the outstanding scenery apart from the great view of the mountains. The tiered rice fields are the results of the landscape of this town. We do not have to travel to Yuan Yang or Nepal to
see them.
 

 และเสน่ห์อีกอย่างที่ขาดไม่ได้คือ วิถีชีวิตในสังคมเกษตรกรรมที่ทำนากันเป็นอาชีพหลัก เนื่องจากภูมิประเทศที่เป็นเทือกเขาสูงๆต่ำๆ  นาข้าวของเมืองนี้จึงมีลักษณะเป็นนาขั้นบันได ที่เราไม่ต้องดิ้นรนไปถึงหยวนหยาง หรือ เนปาล เราก็สามารถสัมผัสนาขั้นบันไดที่สวยงามเช่นกัน
 ในช่วงเดือนตุลาคม จะเป็นช่วงที่นาขากำลังเขียวขจี และจะเริ่มออกรวงเหลืองให้เก็บเกี่ยวกันได้ในช่วงเดือน พฤศจิกายน  ฉะนั้นเราสามารถวางแผนการเดินทาง ในช่วงนาข้าวกำลังเขียวชจี หรือ จะไปในช่วงนาข้างออกรวงเหลืองในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายน ซึ่งจะได้สัมผัสอากาศหนาวเย็นและทะเลหมอกด้วยก็ได้

Farmers start planting rice during rainy season in October and harvest in November which is the beginning of winter. Travelers can choose when to visit, when the mountains are green in October or yellow in November. Local people of Mae Jam are Lua people settling there for many generations. With a simple tradition and lifestyle,they like to help and depend on each other. They also
like to perform their religious activities during weekends and do the community service afterwards, for example;decorating the trees on the side of the roads.

เมืองแม่แจ่มเป็นเมืองเล็กๆ ประชาชนส่วนใหญ่เป็นชาวลัวะ อาศัยอยู่กันมานานจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น วัฒนธรรมความเป็นอยู่ยังเรียบง่าย สงบและพึ่งพาอาศัยกันและกัน ในวันหยุดผู้คนส่วนใหญ่จะพร้อมใจกันมาทำบุญที่วัด เมื่อเสร็จจากวัดก็จะมีกิจกรรมบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ให้กับชุมชน เช่น ช่วยกันถางหญ้าข้างทาง ตัดแต่งกิ่งไม้ข้างทาง ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมที่ได้รับความร่วมมือร่วมใจจากประชาชนส่วนใหญ่ได้อย่างน่าชมเชย


 

เทคนิคการถ่ายภาพแลนด์สเคปนั่นคือการถ่ายให้ดูมีชีวิต และการสร้างให้ภาพดูมิติความลึกนั่นคือการจัดวางองค์ประกอบภาพให้มี ระยะใกล้ กลาง ไกล เกิดขึ้นในภาพ  ในวันที่อากาศไม่แจ่มใสท้องฟ้ามัวขาวขุ่น เราอาจเลือกถ่ายเน้นที่ส่วนประกอบอื่นๆและเหลือท้องฟ้าไว้เล็กน้อยก็ได้  หรือในวันที่มีหมอกสวยก็อย่าได้รีรอที่จะเก็บความงามของริ้วหมอกเข้ามาไว้ในภาพ การถ่ายภาพหมอกให้สวยงามเราอาจต้องวัดแสงและชดเชยให้โอเวอร์ไว้นิดนึงเพื่อดึงความงามของสายหมอกไว้ในภาพได้ครบถ้วน

 The technique for taking the landscape pictures is to bring it to life by arranging the surrounding elements to create dimensions. On the bad weathered days, we can focus on the other surroundings instead of the sky. If there is a sea of fog, don’t hesitate to take some nice pictures by measuring the amount of light and compensate it to bring out the beauty of the mist. Apart from the landscape of the town, the art and culture are also outstanding and well preserved. The temples contain a simple beauty of Lanna architecture and mural painting. To capture good pictures in the temples, it is recommended to use wide screen lens to capture all the Lanna details.

นอกจากวิวทิวทัศน์ที่สวยงามในตัวเมืองแม่แจ่มแล้ว ศิลปวัฒนธรรมต่างๆของแม่แจ่มก็มีความโดดเด่น และรักษาศิลปะวัฒนธรรมไว้ได้อย่างดี วัดวาอารามต่างๆยังคงปรากฏภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังที่สะท้อนภาพศิลปะล้านนาไว้ได้อย่างครบถ้วน  ดูเรียบง่ายและสวยงามอย่างลงตัว การเก็บภาพภายในตัวโบส์ถควรใช้เลนส์มุมกว้าง เพื่อเก็บรายละเอียดภายในโบส์ถแคบๆ ตั้งแต่พื้นยันเพดานที่มีตุงแขวนไว้ เพื่อเก็บบรรยากาศล้านนาไว้ในภาพถ่ายของเรา

อาทิเช่น ภายในวิหารวัดป่าแดด  มีการจัดวางไฟที่ส่องสว่างสำหรับองค์พระประธานได้อย่างสวยงาม เราสามารถสร้างบรรยากาศเพิ่มด้วยการจุดเทียนหน้าแท่นบูชา  เทคนิคการถ่ายภาพให้แสงเทียนเป็นประกายแฉกเหมือนดาวคือ การเปิดรูรับแสงให้แคบๆเช่น F22 จะทำให้แสงเทียน แสงไฟมีประกายเป็นแฉกดาว และแน่นอนภายในสภาพแสงเช่นนี้ ควรใช้ขาตั้งกล้องเพื่อช่วยให้กล้องนิ่งและภาพคมชัด   เราอาจเลือกวัตถุที่มีเส้นสายโครงร่างที่อ่อนช้อยสวยงามและถ่ายภาพในลักษณะภาพโครงทึบ ซึ่งจะให้ภาพที่สวยงามแปลกตาก็ได้ สำหรับการถ่ายภาพเพื่อให้เส้นขอบโครงร่างเป็นเส้นแสงริมไลท์สวยๆ  ควรเลือฉากหลังที่มืดทึบเพื่อส่งให้ภาพแสงริมไลท์เด่นสะดุดขึ้นมา 

 For example, in Padad temple that provides spotlight shining at the Buddha Image, you can create a better atmosphere by lighting up a few candles. Use F22 function to bend the light to make it look like a star. In this case using a camera stand is necessary. To capture a beautiful image of curvy patterns, the background should be dark color to contrast it.

สิ่งที่น่าชมภายในแม่แจ่มอีกอย่างหนึ่งคือ อาชีพเก่าแก่ที่ยังคงเหลืออยู่และหาได้ยากยิ่ง คืออาชีพการทำปิ่นปักผม สภาพแสงที่ส่องเข้ามาทางหน้าต่างให้แสงวินโดว์ไลท์ที่งดงาม คุณลุงเจ้าของบ้านก็อัธยาศัยดี และคงชินกับการถูกถ่ายภาพบ่อยๆ จึงไม่ว่าอะไร บางโอกาสก็หยุดทำงานโพสท่าให้ถ่ายภาพงามๆสักที

A career that is rare to find like the hairpin maker can still be found here in Mae Jam. The light that shines into the house creates a beautiful window light. This hairpin maker is really friendly; he sometimes stops working and makes some good poses. The best spot to get a panorama view of the tiered rice fields locates outside Mae Jam at Baan Bong Bieng. It locates 20 kilometers away towards Intanon National Park, where the viewpoints of the landscape locate along the way.

นอกเมืองแม่แจ่ม  จุดที่นิยมเพื่อชมนาขั้นบันไดแบบพาโนรามาคือที่บ้านบงเบียง  จากตัวเมืองแม่แจ่มนั่งรถมุ่งหน้ามาทางอุทยานแห่งชาติอินทนนท์ประมาณ 20 กิโลเมตร  ระหว่างทางจะมีจุดให้ชมนาขั้นบันไดหรือวิวเมืองแม่แจ่มได้เป็นระยะๆ

After reaching Mae Pan Waterfall and National Park, you can park your car at the parking lot and take a walk about 3 kilometers. Another option is to wait for the mini vans that come once in a long while. If you drive a pickup truck, you can drive straight into the park. The path is quite slippery but not steep during rainy season. The resting point is the river source of Mae Pan waterfall that locates half way of the park.

เมื่อขับรถมาจนถึงอุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตกแม่ปานเลี้ยวซ้ายเข้าไปจอดรถไว้ในที่จอดรถของอุทยาน และเดินเท้าเข้าไปประมาณ 3 กิโลเมตร  หรือรอรถสองแถวที่นานๆจะผ่านเข้าออกจากบ้านบงเปียงผ่านมาหรือถ้ารถของเราเป็นรถปิคอัพก็ขับเข้าไปได้ช่วงหน้าฝน ทางจะลื่นพอควรเพราะเป็นทางดินลูกรังเส้นทางไม่ลาดชันนักพอเดินได้สบายๆ ครึ่งทางจะมีลำธารซื่งเป็นต้นทางของน้ำตกแม่ปานที่จะไหลตกลงไปสู่แผ่นดินเบื้องล่างในอีกไม่กี่สิบเมตรข้างหน้า เราอาจนั่งพักเหนื่อยหรือลงเล่นลำธารก็ได้
 

การถ่ายภาพน้ำตกหรือ น้ำในลำธาร ถ้าเรามีฟิลเตอร์โพลาไลท์ ใส่หน้าเลนส์จะช่วยตัดแสงสะท้อนและมองเห็นความใสของน้ำในลำธารจนถึงพื้นลำธาร  การถ่ายสายน้ำให้ดูพริ้วสวยคือการปรับชัตเตอร์สปีดให้ต่ำ จะทำให้สายน้ำเป็นเส้นและดูนุ่มสวย

 For taking pictures of the river or waterfall, having a polarized filter covering your lens will cut out the reflection and make the water become clear.

พักกันพอหายเหนื่อยที่ลำธารต้นน้ำตกแม่ปาน  เดินต่อไปเกือบเท่ากับที่เดินเข้ามา จะถึงหมู่บ้านบงเปียง เดินเลียบไปทางขวาจะเป็นไหล่เขาที่สามารถชมวิวนาขั้นบันไดได้แบบพาโนรามา  เราอาจเลือกเก็บภาพมุมกว้าง  หรือ ใช้ช่วงเทเลเจาะถ่ายเฉพาะจุดเล่นเส้นสาย หรือ ทิวเขาที่สลับซับซ้อนเป็นชั้นๆก็ได้

 Continue walking into the park until reaching Bong Bieng Village. Walk to the left on the hillside, we can see the panorama view of the tiered rice fields. We can choose to take the pictures from the wide angles or choose some specific landscape or the beautiful mountain range.

ธรรมชาติที่งดงามและสภาพบ้านเมืองแม่แจ่มที่แจ่มสมชื่อ สงบเงียบ อัธยาศัยของผู้คนก็น่ารักและเป็นกันเอง จึงเหมาะสำหรับคนที่ชอบอยู่กับธรรมชาติ เปลี่ยนจากความสับสนวุ่นวายของชีวิตในเมืองหลวง มาเป็นชนบทที่สงบเงียบ ลองปรับการดำเนินชีวิตให้ช้าลง จะอยู่เป็นวัน เป็นอาทิตย์ หรือ เป็นเดือน  สุดแท้แต่เวลาของแต่ละคนที่ชาร์ตแบตในตัวให้เต็มก่อนกลับไปในสังคมที่วุ่นวายต่อไป.
